LOGITECH MEDIA SERVER GOOGLE MUSIC QNAPO PC
It's completely visible from my desktop PC as well as my phone and tablet and my Raspberry Pis. The major directory is configured as a share with all subdirectories shared. I'd appreciate any help in making the music visible to the server. The directory is mounted as an SMB share on the NAS with the standard IP address, userid, password.

I've been running Picoreplayer on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with a LMS instance. The 18 invisible directories, which can't be seen from the config browse option, contain almost all of my music files. For some reason it only sees 3 of the 21 major subdirectories. In the configuration stage I pointed it at the shared directory that contains all of my music files.
LOGITECH MEDIA SERVER GOOGLE MUSIC QNAPO INSTALL
The install completed in under 5 minutes with no error messages. If you want to try a later version of LMS (I have 7.9 running fine) then this thread will tell you how.I just installed LogitechMediaServer_2.25.03_arm-x41 on my Qnap TS-231P running firmware 5.
LOGITECH MEDIA SERVER GOOGLE MUSIC QNAPO PATCH
If you want to patch the vulnerability the instructions are here. Once this is done any device using the slim protocol (like your Duet) should automatically find the server providing it is connected to the same network. Under configuration you can point LMS at your media files and do a scan, it may take a while and it will tell you how many files it finds. Once you have LMS installed and running, you should browse to the LMS web-page on your NAS, which is on port 9001 (I think). This contains an old version of the server but should work fine, amazingly LMS is still maintained and can be updated but get your system up-and-running before doing that.
LOGITECH MEDIA SERVER GOOGLE MUSIC QNAPO DOWNLOAD
First things first though and you will need to download the QPKG from here and install manually. If your NAS is not available publically then this might not matter to you, however there is a fix. QNAP dropped the LMS QPKG some time ago due to a discovered vulnerability in the version of bash that is packaged with it.
